FAQ Intensive

Intensives FAQ'S

Q: Are your intensives covered by insurance?

A: We do not accept insurance. You are responsible to pay the full amount.

Q: What will my schedule look like?

A: Everyone’s schedule will look differently as you will be directed based on what your counselor thinks is the best path for your healing. Your schedule will be determined on your first day after being seen by your counselor.

Q: Does Heart to Heart provide transportation, food, and lodging?

A: No.  You are responsible for your transportation, food, and lodging.  These are not included in the price you paid for your upcoming intensive.  We do have a refrigerator and microwave that you may use if you like.

Q: Do you have a list of recommended hotels?

A: Yes we do send you a list of local hotels when you schedule your intensive.

Q: What should I wear to my intensive?

A: Wear comfortable clothing. You will be in counseling and group sessions throughout the days that you are here.

Q: Will I have time to do some sightseeing?

A: On the first day you will be given a schedule that often fills up your days here. We recommend you do not treat this as a vacation as more than likely there will be no time between sessions to explore the sights.

Q: How’s the weather?

A: We have all 4 seasons here, so plan accordingly. Wear layers. Take into account we are at a high altitude and you must drink plenty of water.

Q: Is there anything I should do before attending to prepare for an intensive?

A: There is not a required preparation plan. Please do not send in information prior to your intensive.

Q: Is this a retreat with other couples?

A: No, this is not a retreat and every attendee will be going to their own intensive.

Q: Do I need to rent a car or can I walk or Uber to the center?

A: Yes, you will need to rent a vehicle. The airports have rental cars.  We do have Uber in Colorado Springs, but most times you will only have a few minutes to get lunch so it would be very inconvenient not to have a car. Groups are late at night and early in the morning so it would be hard to try to walk to-and-from hotels even if close by.

Q: Are the groups co-ed?

A: No, the groups are separated, men with men and women with women.
